Thrown it all away

Have unknowingly and knowingly ruined the best relationship I've ever had. Undermined, cajoled and drove my OH away. I was too fearful to ever face issues that needed addressing, and it brings little solace to realise this in hindsight. It's one thing breaking up but entirely another to have caused it on such terms. I'm endeavoring to never repeat this but god, regrets are a killer.......All I can do to rectify this is self-betterment or whatever you want to call it, it's f**k all consolation and it's all I deserve really (I am doing that by the way, counseling I mean). Truth and self-awareness not necessarily good revelations to have about oneself. Apologies for the vagueness, don't know what I'm asking here, if anything....

Seems like you just need a place to vent. nothing wrong with that :)

Don't suppose the ex might take you back at all, if you tried explaining this to them, how you feel?

You've learned something valuable from this relationship and its breakup...maybe a lesson you wouldn't have learned otherwise. maybe someday it will come back around or maybe you'll find someone else who this time, you can actually be with.
