    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can share where the Finglas test routes are? Also is the reversing around the corner in a resedential area or on a green? I want to get some practice in before I apply for a test. I would greatly appreciate some feedback.

Unfortunately for you Finglas is the biggest test centre in the country. There can be over a dozen car drivig tests on at the same time. The test areas cover most of Finglas, Glasnevin, parts of Ballymun, Santry and Popintree.

    Hi

Recently did my test in Navan. I failed the first time in 2008 when sgs were still doing tests on behalf of the dept of transport. Passed 2nd time with RSA 2 months ago. One thing i noticed is the mark sheet from the first test had a test route number on it where as this one didn't.

I queried this with my instructor and he said that there's no such thing as test routes anymore. This means that the tester can basically take you anywhere within the local area. I was taken all over the place and most of the places I had never been in any of my lessons, apart from through the main town.

So your best bet would be to get a few lessons in the local area around finglas so you can get to know the area as much as possible.

If you've been driving a while and are not subject to the new rules, I would suggest at least 5 lessons including one the day before or on the day of your test. This is what I did and passed with only 2 grade 1's.

Best of luck with your test!

    Matt
