What does this say about us as a society and where our government's priorities stand?

    • We haven't built a children's hospital since 1954. We are supposed to be building a new one BUT we have a shortfall of €200m.
    • Our last bailout of a bank was during the '80's with AIB needing government assistance. Last week we borrowed money at high rates and plugged it into failed banks that took risks to the tune of €24bn (€70bn total and counting).
So, that begs the question where exactly is this government's priorities and do you agree that they are doing what's best for the greater good?

'Cherishing of our children' and our populace in general seems to have been put on the backburner recently. What would our Republican greats thought of this? Speaking personally, I'm ashamed of the decisions being taken by this and previous governments. They treat us like a business rather than a country. I fear for our future and I'm not sure I want to hang around Ireland any longer sadly.
