Subaru swap?

    Have a 01 subaru which needs new front panels and bonnet. Was playing with the idea of putting the front end from an 05 model on it! Dont know if this is actually possible though. Is it as simple as swapping the panels or is it just too much work?

    You'd need the font slam panel as well as the likes of bumper supports etc.

    so it would just be a case of bolting the parts on really.Having a donor car would be ideal!? thanks for the help!

    A front end swap usually consists of:

    Bonnet
    Grill
    Headlights
    Front wings
    Front bumper
    Crash bar


    I don't know if the 05 will match up to the 01 though?

    As far as I know, the 01 is a GC and the 05 is a GD...and the fact that the GD has big arches and doesn't look like it'll fit...who knows :P

    It will fit, it has been done. There will need to be some mods done though for the panels to line up right.

    I'll dig a thread I seen on this if I can find it.
