Help! New Samsung Galaxy S - problems with YouTube

    Hi all

I received my new Samsung Galaxy this morning and have been playing away with it all day!

One problem I have come up with. The quality of the YouTube videos is dreadful but, when I switch to High Quality it really struggles to upload a video, taking forever, if it does get there. No WiFi.

How can I fix this? One of the reasons I went for the Galaxy is I read how brilliant the screen is for watching media.

Would really appreciate an idiot's guide on how to fix this problem.

    Many thanks.

Can anyone help? This is really frustrating me - thought I was getting a bells and whistles phone and it won't download YouTube videos!, (unless in dreadful quality).

    Thanks.

Okay - just did a test with the wifi on (but it didn't recognise it) and 3g.

    The results are: download 58kbps; upload 108kbps, kilobits/sec 108

Now, the above mean absolutely nothing to me so can someone tell me if this is average - bad, etc.

And, if bad, it looks like I may have to change my service provider?, think I have a seven day period that I can opt out.

    Thanks.

That is absolutely awful, it's equivalent to dial up internet (remember that?) Download being slower than upload isn't normal either.

I'm on eMobile and clocked 4MB download and 0.8MB upload - much better that Wifi which was 1.5 and 0.5. I was quite impressed given that the display ranged from H to 3G.

3G speeds depends on location and how many others are using the service.

Anyone else having problems viewing YouTube videos in the last week or two?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
