    Hi there
I'd welcome some expertise on all of the above topics.
I guess you can tell I got a puncture today... I shredded my practically brand new michelin pilot (RR) on the way to Belfast for a meeting this morning and had to replace it with the only vaguely matching tyre they had in the place - a hankook, which I gather is a decent tyre, but... Anyway...

    1. Does anybody know of any company in Ireland that offers tyre insurance other than Joe Duffy BMW?

    2. Does anybody know of a tyre centre in Dublin that offers the ultrasealing treatment or is it a DIY job? If the latter, how straightforward is it?

    3. Do I need to get rid of this hankook? I do a lot of miles at the upper end of the legal speed limit spectrum but am loathe to throw out a €200 euro tyre. Any thoughts

Thanks a lot for any insight
    Kinch

Is the new tyre on the front or rear? The type of Hankook you have will dictate how good it is.

However, on a heavy performance car like the M5 having odd tyres is not a good idea, if its on the front it has obvious effects on the steering and on the rear, the last thing you need on a 400hp rwd car is different traction on both rear wheels. These issues are exaggerated 10 fold in the wet!

Alot of motorcylcle places to the ultraseal but its only designed to prevent deflation from the likes of nails etc in the tyre, they do nothing to prevent/seal sidewall damage which is something that low profile car tyres are very prone to that motorcycle tyres aren't.

The hankook is on the Rear Right. Theres a Michelin pilot sport 2 on the RL.
I had a chance to look it up last night after my initial post , its a "Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL " (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hankook&tireModel=Ventus+V12+evo+K110) . Reviews/comments seem predominantly positive nad impl;y they're broadly comparable to the PS2s
This tyre was the guts of €200, a new ps2 is at least that again. I just don't like the idea of replacing it for no good reason, still though its a niggle...

Perhaps you could replace the hankook with a michelin now, keep the Hankook, then when you have to replace the rears again, you'll only have to buy 1 matching Hankook.:)

Har, yes, that it is the logical conclusion I suppose. However it is one that requires me to spend more money right now which makes me :(
    Cheers

Anybody have an ideas on tyre insurance. Of course they have it in the UK and it seems great value there!
