Hope for your sake that it's not a written test; could you translate this into English, please?:confused::confused:

No need to be smart, I asked a good question. If anyone actually works for stobarts and was assessed, what were you assessed on and any tips for me.

It was a good question to be fair; if only you asked it in a good way so we could make head and tail of it in the first place. Thanks for clearing it up BTW.

    Keep it constructive please.

Trucker guy, apologies, but you do need to include the relevant information in a somewhat coherent manner. I know some people have dyslexia, literacy or other problems, but that is all the more reason to try.

I imagine Stobart's are looking for the same as any other freight company - drivers that get the load there on time, on cost and safely. With the price of fuel, eco-driving may be important to them.

Eco driving with Stobart is a big deal. All their trucks have a eco computer onboard that gives the driver a % of how eco friendly their driving is. This is linked to a main computer in hq. The more eco friendly you are the more $$$ in bonuses you will get. The test is about comon sense usual bla bla bla. Everything in the trucks is computer monitered. Where are you going for the test?? With Stobart you will get a planner assigned to you on a daily basis, he/she will plan out your day and will be in constent contact with you via onboard computers and phone.

I've done a few of these assessments, but not for Stobart. They are usually just like a shorter version of the driving test. If you're a safe experienced driver you should have no problem with the test, just take your time, be safe and keep checking those mirrors.

Some companies outsource the assessment but with a place as large as Stobart I'd expect it to be done in-house. A friend of mine is an assessor and he's seen some scary stuff. Guys turning up with bogus licences who have clearly never sat behind the wheel of a HGV and who are a danger to themselves and every other road user.

Best of luck with the job and again ...CHECK YOUR MIRRORS :D
