Wireless extender?

Hi all,

Wonder if you can help me... I have all my cables - Sky, Phone, Broadband etc terminating in my attic area. Problem is the wireless reception in my living room is not great. I am only getting 2mb download as it is (best I can get according to Eircom)... Is there anything I can plug in downstairs that will relay my connection so that it doesnt keep dropping when I am on the PS3 online... it's really a pain in the bum...

I've a very similar problem, but mine is the reverse. I have my router downstairs but I can't get a signal upstairs. I've ordered a new bigger antenna for my router (as my router is a Netgear one and has an external antenna) to see if this helps at all and I'll post back when it arrives to let you know if it helps. Could work for your problem, too.

I got a sitecom extender in maplin a while back - easy enough to set up and does the trick.
