Hi all just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to get a nice frame. It'd be part of a birthday present.

I ordered four frames from PhotoFrames.ie a couple of months ago. They got here quickly, were great quality, and cheap too (:

Thanks having a look now. Awful looking website though which is a pity

I know, but it's worth it once you figure out how to navigate it :D

If you'd like an actual photo of the frames I got, let me know (:

I wouldn't say no to a photo of the frames, if you've a camera handy.. :)

EDIT: Also, are they wall hangable directly, or do you have to mess about witha photo hanging kit and DIY it?

No problem, hopefully you can tell from the pictures the quality of the 8x12 black ones I got ;)

There's just a small (removable) clip already on the frame for hanging on, like you find on most. It doesn't look like much, but I've had them hanging for months without any issue (:

have a google for Hang Tough Framing, near Camden Street, great work from the guy, very small framing business, huge range of framing options and any size you want

That looks excellent, Telchak. Don't suppose you could link to that frame on the site (they seem to have a few generic black ones).

I've always come across that site, but never bothered with it as I assumed the frames would look crap, but clearly I was wrong!

Nice photo by the way (in the frame)!

Thank you, Telchak! I shall book mark that whilst I go looking for empty wall space arond the house! :p

The prices are great on that site. I may see if i can get a bigger frame and mount for it, too. Will have to see how much it works out at.

Can I ask you how it was posted to you? was it in a box, or a protetive sleeve or...? It doesn't look like it's received any damage, even a slight mark, at all?

If I remember right, each of the frames and glass were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard, and then everything was in a much larger, flat box. They kind of slid around inside the larger box, but had enough protection to prevent damage (:

one thing to be aware of

that frame you have pictures of is a plastic moulding, its not wood

they do mark easily so just be careful with them

I have used PhotoFrames.ie in the past and wouldn't use them again, PM if you want more details. Their frames all seem just to be plastic moldings.

I have also used TaraFraming.ie and the result was great, super happy with the price/service. Picked up my poster from my work place and then dropped the finished frames to my house during the weekend.
A0 size in wood frame and glass, which he had no problems doing but other companies wouldn't commit to doing.
