Simple really, which do you consider more important?

Would you rather drive a gorgeous looking car with horrible performance levels or an ugly bástard that you enjoy driving?

Which is more important? 19 votes

Looks I suppose but it would be the wife that decides because she does the driving.

I love the new A6 but if it came in 1.6D I think I would give it a miss..;)

Reliability, longevity and build quality above looks and performance for me.

Can we get an option for both?! I love performance cars but I wouldnt be able to bring myself to drive one if it was ugly as sin, no matter how good the performance. I like to have my cake and eat it you see. :D

Hyundai Accents are not the subject of this thread.

Agreed, could never drive something I don't like the look of, even if its awesomely powerful.

So if it was one or the other - looks tbh.

No, they are not built well enough, no performance either.

Looks more so than performance. Most modern cars perform adequately given the speed and safety regulations that we have to observe.

If I could use a race track every day then performance would be preferable but as I've to use public roads with speed limits and traffic then looks are preferable.

    Performance.

In fact the worse it looks, the better.

Q cars. Badged as a 1.4 poverty spec, but with a 3 litre (+) V6 fitted. Tatty steel rims, high speed tyres. Possibly an estate. Maybe moss growing on it. A mismatched panel, or two, just to add to the effect. NOX kit.
