Hi I am finishing second year going into final year of my three year degree course. I am receiving grant and BTEA if I am lucky enough to get work for summer can I continue to receive BTEA when I return to college in September?

Hi, yes you can, I went from a Foundation Cert to a proper course last year and I kept my BTEA entitlement after working for the summer.

However, I did have to reapply for the BTEA, which meant I was waiting until November for my claim to be re-approved, which was OK for me as I was able to save over the summer, but could cause real problems if you can't! I think this was due to my progressing though and it should be straightforward for you if you're still in the same course. I'd check with the Social Welfare just to be sure though.
