I was just wondering if there are any compounding pharmacies in Ireland, like there are in the US,who will make up a medicine for you??
Im looking to have a vehicle removed from a medicine i am using as i react badly to it,though i hear they are used to stabilise the medicine.
    Any advice?
    Thanks

If and it would be a very big if there are compounding pharmacies left in Ireland, I very much doubt a part it could be removed!

Have you asked your doctor for alternative products?

It's possible to get some medication as a "special". Basically a one off formulation of the drug in a different pharmaceutical form or using different excipeint(s). It can be massively expensive though. Best to go to your local chemist and see if they can get it in as a first step.

What type of medicine is it? Are there other brands/formulations you could use instead? They may not be licensed here but available in other countries. so they can be prescribed and imported.

    With a licence they can!

Not true. You can have medicine prescribed that is not licensed here if your doctor feels you need it. It has to be prescribed on a named basis and it's perfectly legal.
