Has anyone tried using an EID tag supplied by a Limerick company ?

I met the Company rep at the Teagasc Sheep 2010 event and unfortunatly purchased from them.

The tag is not much bigger then a factory tag.

If you are lucky enough you might get 1 sheep tagged with 1 tag in every 5 attempts.

The shaft on the tag is too soft and bends when it hits the ear.

The company is a Dept approved supplier

Just thought i would try once more for a response. The company claim to have sold over 100000 tags with very little problems.

I use the Mullinahone tags and have no problems. Did the rep supply you with the applicator or are you using your own? Maybe your applicator and his tags aren't compatible.

ditto... tried a couple of different suppliers but none match cormac both for the quality of tags and speedy service
