May be of interest to some, realignment of the the road between Tramore & the aiport, mostly offline SC build. Not sure what the road is like to drive, but current alignment looks appalling on the map

Notice of the Proposed Realignment of the R685/R708 Tramore to Southeast Regional Airport Road

In accordance with Part 8, Article 81 of the above Regulations, Waterford County Council hereby gives notice of proposals relating to the realignment of the R685 Tramore to Southeast Regional Airport.

The proposed scheme entails the realignment of the R685 through the townlands of Ballinattin, Drumcannon, Lisselan Intake, Quillia, Lisselan, Kilmacleague West and Ballygarran from Tramore Town to the Southeast Regional Airport. The route generally runs in a west to east direction and involves the construction of approximately 5.2 kilometres of the R685 and 0.9km of the R708. The proposed development consists of a single carriageway road, three roundabout junctions, four at-grade priority junctions and associated local road realignments. The scheme also includes other minor and consequential works associated with the scheme.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase, at a reasonable fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, during office hours at the following locations:

• Waterford County Council, Roads Dept, Civic Offices, Davitt’s Quay, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford
• Waterford County Council , Civic Offices, Tankfield, Tramore, Co. Waterford

The airport renamed itself a number of years ago I thought?

The road from the Waterford ORR is fantastic, so this would likely just match it.
