hi been lurking here a while but I'm no that well up on techno jargon so I'll ask as question I hope you can help me with

setting up 2nd tv in kitchen.....
so I currently have sky hd in living room through dish
I have eircom broadband to router in bedroom upstairs
have a dell xps m1330 on vista and a transcend harddrive
have an extra cable dropped to kitchen from dish by sky installer last year who also left me the old box
have internet/phone line box at point where new tv will go

what would you do/change for best tv experience ??
or do i just get old box set up in kitchen for free view stuff ??
    what is internet tv ??
probably be getting a smaller than 32" for the kitchen if this is any help

What should I do are would you like to do ?
money is tight but not impossible to find,
any pointers on where to find an easy to understand method of doing this myself, possibly

    sound,

I'd say your nearly better posting this over in the satellite tv forum. I'm not overly sure how sky works these days as I haven't subscribed to them for a few years but I do know you will need to subscribe to multi room if you want to watch the full range of channels in the kitchen.

The cheapest solution sounds like plugging the extra kitchen cable into your old box and plug the box into your kitchen tv and watch free view, no subscription required. It will even display an EPG with the BBC and ITV stations listed rather than having to go into other stations all the time.

I wouldn't bother going down the internet enabled tv route, there's not enough available at this moment in time

Hope that helps answer some of your questions
