Suppose AH is the right place for this, seeing as it's ridiculous!!

    http://www.mcd.ie/home/fn.php?c=8646170&ar=michaelmcintyre

So basically he's selling tickets now for a show in Nov 2012. 19 months!!!

I mean there's preview tickets then there's this!!

Even if it was this November doubt it would have sold out.

Would a been easy enough to buy tickets to it thinkin' it was in 7 months time.

    For Shame McIntyre!!

I think he's decent, and I seriously doubt that it is him personally making the decisions about when to start selling tickets etc...

Sure Peter Kay is playing the O2 later this month, and those tickets went on sale in 2009 if I remember correctly?...

With the world ending on the 21 Dec 2012 and proof that it is, it will probably be seen as his farewell show.

    McIntyre is a legend.

Everybody who hates them are those who sit at home laughing at Val Falvey or The Panel.

I thought it was McIntyre the comedian, not the group.

Although, yeah it's hardly his decision.

I just find it, pointless in a way, putting tickets on sale so early!!

    Not unusual at all..

My friend bought Little Britain tickets over 2 years in advance. Turns out his friend couldn't go at such short notice, so he ended up giving his spare ticket to me.

We were seated at the very back row right at the end of the aisle to the side. So don't think booking early is gonna get you a good seat.

    Couldn't disagree more.

Yes the tickets are far away but there's a reason for this.

McIntyre obviously doesn't have space in his calendar to tour Ireland until that stage of his tour.

If he refrains from putting his tickets on sale for the Irish gigs, devoted Irish fans annoyed at no Irish dates then buy tickets to his UK shows. Further down the line he then releases Irish dates and previously mentioned Irish fans get very annoyed because they've splashed out and bought tickets for UK nights when there's a show on in Ireland.

Whereas this way Irish fans can buy dates for Irish gigs and not buy UK dates "in case" he doesnt tour Ireland.

    Makes a lot of sense.
