ipad only showing 4 screens of apps

Wondering if anyone's com across this before. My ipad 1 (4.3.1) is only showing five screens of apps when in actual fact I have six and a half. For some reason in itunes there is a screen after five which is grey. I can't drag anything onto this, but I can drag apps past it to other screens, but they do not sync. See…
