After a weekend of work around the house vacuuming ( cant use hoover as it is a brand name ), lawn mowing, hanging curtains, taking down curtains, filling the holes left by said curtains and rehanging the bloody curtains up a further 15mm so the things dont drape the floor, mop, clean and scrub the whole house, it has left me wondering, would one be better off having a servant around the house so I could rest my weary limbs and scratch my b*********lls?
Do you know anyone with a servant?
    Were you ever a servant?

Yeah, why not? Creates another job.

On the other hand, it's only Mother's Day for another 100 minutes or so...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

You missed your chance, could have had a Brazilian cleaning your house once a week 5 years ago. Now all our 8 bedroom mansions in the countryside are gathering dust.

I'd rather have a Skivvy or a Slave than a servant.

I am the servant. My fiance does nothing, I mean nothing around the house.
I cook every meal, wash, dry & iron all the clothes, keep the house clean, do all the shopping, change light bulbs, bleed the radiators, take the pipes apart under the sink to take the gunk out of it, the list goes on.

If I'm gone for a night or a weekend I cook dinners & leave them for him to reheat in the oven.

    Just call me Jeeves.

Get your local newspaper and you'll find professional:
    Gardeners
    Carpenters
    House cleaning services
they'll do this stuff really quick and much better than yourself and you'll be surprised how little it cost.;)

keep it up until the wedding night and then hit him with the changes.:D

The culture shock for him when all that stops after the ceremony could kill him.

    He's insured well, very well!

I make him sound like a lazy git but he works like a black & I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it's easier for all concerned if I just do all that stuff.

If you are happy that's all that matters, there is always a happy balance.
women in general tend to do most of the stuff in the house.

please tell me he puts the bins out :pac:

Jesus he sounds like some useless cnut! And you're marrying him...enjoy your 40 years of unpaid servitude, the shine will wear off that marriage quite fast.

Thats what culchies were for when the brits ran the place.

Biggest mistake we made was not keeping them in their place after the landlords left.

Any chance you could read the previous posts before you start mouthing off.

And we're together a good few years now & things have always been the same so I don't see how the shine will wear off the marriage fast considering I know exactly who I'm going to marry & what to expect.

EDIT @ Hondasam: No I do the bins too. Hey it works for us so I don't see the problem, other couples are different. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I forgot to multiquote hence the edit.
