I'm having trouble streaming movies from my MacBook Pro to my Xbox 360. I downloaded a program called 'Connect 360' but my Xbox is only displaying one movie fromthe 'movies' folder on my mac. Is this because all my other movies are in a wrong format for the Xbox?

File format may be an issue (it can't stream mkv files), but Connect 360 also requires you to buy it in order to stream all your content. Otherwise you'll only see 5 videos and 100 songs or something like that.

Try Vuze for mac, there's a converter there for mkv's to xbox formats and it can stream to it too. I haven't tried the mac version yet, but the windows one works great.

Try Playback. It handles MKVs too.

Handbrake is a good free app for encoding too
