    Hi all,
I'm building a 2800sqft house (L-shaped) and I've been getting quotes. Got 2 quotes for laying blocks for 12k.
One of them asked for this in cash.

So, 2 questions - is this price a bit much? (Boards users have been indicating around the 7-8k mark)

Would there be any problems getting 12k cash from the bank? (Im afraid to ask at the minute untill i get the first drawdown! )

    thanks

No problem asking for 12k cash from a bank..You just need to go to the bank and give them 24 hours notice for the amount of money,so they have that money there for you.:)

Anyone discussing paying cash in future faces a ban.

The only obvious reason for discussing a cash payment as posted was the implied notion that paying cash would avoid Income Tax + VAT and that is fraud.
