Get out fishing at the right times.
    Learn a few new tricks.
Capitalise using the old tricks when opportunity knocks.

land a thornback ray (or indeed any kind of ray), have spent far too many hours over recent years fishing for but not catching them that i'm determined to get one this year.

If I sort that little problem out then i'll move on to getting a bass on the fly.

Would love a double figure pike on the fly but just cant get past the jacks.

To catch a whopping brown over the mayfly period would be nice as this is the time when i seem to blank the most!!!!!!!

Double figure salmon would be nice. He'd go back mind, I prefer a grilse for smoking.

To get a few evenings with the right conditions - warm, humid, feck all breeze, a big buzzer hatch and fish to cast a dry fly to, who cares if you catch a big one, just the experience is great, but its getting the right conditions is the problem.

A few good days on the mayfly, size immaterial, as long as there are fish coming to the fly.

Pike on the fly will definitely happen this year, missed a couple already but will definitely give them a go again soon.

Not to blank in any of our shore comps, and to beat a certain few people - don't care where I finish in the league as long as they don't get bragging rights! :D
