splashtop os

    hi guys, is it possible for me to run splashtop os on my lappy, which is an esystem sorrento 1, running windows 7 home premium, i have read good reports on this os, what i know about tech matters can be put on the back of a stamp, thanks in advance for your help.

    Never heard of it but upon searching I read that it just installs itself via windows and is only a 2Mb download, go for it.

    i have downloaded it, it will not open it always comes back to the page that askes you to select either it or windows.

    I tried it on my desktop (I know that's not exactly what it was meant for). The resolution is terrible even for a netbok (and unchangable), thought it had a pretty poor gui overall :/

    Some motherboards come with Splashtop embedded, I've got it on my Asus board in this pc. It doesn't offer any customisation, you cannot change the resolution of the screen, but its not meant to be fancy with all bells and whistles, its a quick booting lightweight linux OS that has all the basic functions of a standard OS, Skype, browser, text editor, gmail etc without the overheads of a running full OS
