i have a 1980 ford transit camper van.
i bough it some time ago intending to restore it, i havnt had the time to do much to it so its just sitting there.
Im contemplating finding it a new home.
It needs some work, New Door, bonet, door sill steps and some rust around arches, engine and gearbox are good....but realy its a project.
The interior is tidy and the pop top roof works well.
So what i want to know is....whats it worth roughly and is there a market for it?
    Cheers.

Have a look on donedeal, gumtree, adverts, buyandsell etc for anything similar, then try to price yours accordingly. Is it an original camper, a later factory conversion or a DIY job? Petrol or diesel? How long is a piece of string? Does everthing work on both the vehicle and the camper interior? How much work would it need for a DOE/engineers report which might be asked for by an insurance company before they take it on.

In the meantime put some pics up here, especially of the interior and any black spots and someone might be able to help you.

i have a 1983 one and it needs the usual work, doos, bonnet, steps and interior sorting and i was selling mine for 600 but then i decided not too and put it on the list of vehicles that i need to sort.if ya sell it and then want one later then that other one will give you an idea of what you'll have to pay.

My cousin has finally parked up his 1978 Hymer camper(merc chassis and engine). In need of a lot of cosmetic tlc, though it would drive to Sicily and back without fault. Any interest pm me.
