Dublin Zoo 'Monkeys tea party'?

    My mother thinks she remebers a daily event in Dublin Zoo called the 'Monkeys Tea Party' when she was a child (1950's) where they would dress the monkeys up and sit them at a table so they could have a tea party....

    ......naturally such a think wouldnt happen in a million years these days but she wanted to see if anyone else remembered such a thing or was it strictly a figment of her imagination??

    i have a photo somewhere of my brothers in the late fifties early sixties at dublin zoo and behind them are chimps sitting at a table having tea so no your mam is not imagining it, it did really happen...:D:D

    nope tis true! My dad always tells me about the monkeys being around, having tea etc. A lot more interactive eh? Lol

    Saw a clip on RTE recently where the monkey's tea party was shown for a few seconds. I remember seeing one as a child. It was hilarious but would not be considered PC nowadays I suppose.
