Strange noise when turning left.

When I turn my steering wheel to the left, it makes a gentle rubbing noise that can be heard inside the car. This noise sounds mechanical. Its not the CV joint as far as I know as that would be more of a clicking noise if im correct? (I am open to correction) I hit a pothole there around a few weeks ago but this noise has emerged lately (i.e the last week or two). I got my car serviced about a month ago before I hit the pothole.

The car is a 2000 Audi A4. Should I go and check it out at the garage do you reckon?

Have a look behind the wheel/tyre to see if any of the plastic wheel arch liner has come loose and may be touching the tyre when you turn.

it could be the brake pads. if its a squealing noise thats what it probably is. I had the same thing a few weeks back took it to my mechanic and he said it was the brakes. I got my replaced there and then and haven't heard it since

Its a gentle vibrating noise and only occurs when I turn left. Could that be the ball joint?
