Think the OP means that numbers in a variety of areas are growing/increasing exponentially; they always have, but i get his/her point.
There are things related to this that the human race may soon, perhaps, have to contend with.

I'd like to see a updated version, I remember seeing this when it was released.

That song annoys me. Stupid flashy graphics annoy me. Watching stupid stuff about Americans annoys me. 3/3 OP, well done.

When the Egyptians were living 4000 years ago they would have said 'we are living in exponential times'
When the Romans were living 2000 years ago they would have said 'we are living in exponential times'
During the Renaissance 500 years ago they would have said 'we are living in exponential times'

But I suppose today's numbers are quite astonishing.

    That's the point, isn't it?

    The top 10 in-demand jobs in 2010 didn't exist in 2004

I have a degree in medieval history. I'm screwed. :(

Just wait a few months until we invent time-travel. Then go back to the
dark ages and dazzle them with your extensive knowledge.

I have it on good authority that the coming wave of technological pioneers have a thrist for medieval history knowledge, that can't be sated; study of it will dominate their spare time and they will pay top dollar to those best placed to educate them.

Really? That's fantastic!:D I have reason to live again!

Wait a sec, you're pulling my leg aren't you?? There are no jobs for people like me. Bill Gates isn't going to pay me squillions to explain the finer points of Carolingian foreign policy is he?:(

    I don't like you anymore.

Well, i'm usually wrong. But, who knows? I might be right this time.
Bill Gates might have a regrettable disinterest regarding such things; but the next Bill Gates may be a glutton for such info.

What I keep forgetting is how Germany has 80 million people. I sometimes wonder why all Europe doesn't speak English but then I realise how many people actually live in proper countries.
