Has this guy any credibility left? How can we be sure that the stress test results are final? Before Imf/E.U bailout happened he said there would be no need for a bailout and he rubbished Alan Dukes claims that another 15 billion would be needed, which turned out to be right? Surprised this hasn't been brought up before or is it because he has the title "professer" before his name, ppl presume that he is always right!

His last appearance on prime time was disturbing,
it seemes like he was lying thru the teeth and had the appearance of a man who doesnt like to lie and hence was very uncomfortable and annoyed at having to be in front of the camera.

anyways apparently the ECB have Ireland by the balls now which puts himself in a very difficult position.

It seems he started as an honest man with good intentions, but now is being forced to disguise his true opinion with spin and lies.

These situations aren't black and white. If Honohan came out and said-"yes, it's clear that we will need a bailout" then that would of clearly of weakened our bargaining position going into the negotiations.
The banks needing more money should surprise nobody that has been paying any attention. The mortgage time-bomb has been well flagged but it's only been taken into a/c in the latest stress tests. Again the governor of the central bank can't really engage in speculation as their words carry weight.

He seemed compromised in his Primetime interview on Thursday night
