I'm going to a wedding in july, and have 2 dresses picked out as possibilities, one is a 50's style prom dress, white with black and red flowers and the other is a taupe and black patterned maxi dress. my main problem is I am recovering from a disclocated ankle which means no stillettos, high heels or anything unstable:(
Any suggestions, I'm 5ft 7 so don't need the extra height, but would prefer a slight heel / wedge?

I think a wedge would be lovely with either dress.
There are a lot of really nice wedges in New Look at the moment.
    Both low and high.

The 50's style prom dress sounds really nice.
    Here are a few suggestions:

    Red Wedge

And for the maxi, if it were to painful to wear a wedge, would you consider some flat(ish) sandals such as:

    Tan sandals/Wedge

Here Which also come in tan.

^ There are also a vast range of those flat sandals in pennys, lots of very nice decorative ones that would look lovely with a maxi.

    Hope this helped.

Gladiator sandals would look lovely with the maxi dress, flat and comfortable!

A pair of ballet pumps might be nice with the prom style dress (and there are loads of colours etc. available), maybe with a kitten heel if you really wanted something with a little heel.
