Advice needed

I've recently acquired a 59 car that originally came in from England sometime in the mid 80's (at a guess). It was never registered in Ireland and I don't have the English reg plates so don't know what it was previously registered as. Is there any way I can register it? I do have the chassis number.
It was given to me by a farmer who found it on his land a few years ago. The car is restoreable and rare so how could I go upon registering it or claiming title and an Irish registration?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

if the car is rare ,as you say, try the owners club for info
Who knows ,someone may know about it.

I suggest you write to DVLA in Swansea quoting all the relevant details, make , colour, model ,chassis no, engine no.

    They are quite helpful.

    If they bother to
identify the car, Then i imagine you would need to prove you have the car(you could have pilfered all those details from a museum or a parking lot ).

    Regards,Rugbyman

No window etchings, tax disc in the car or anything like that?
