Insurance

    Hi All,
I booked a holiday through a small agency a couple of months ago and it turned out to be a disaster in that the hotel didnt have any reservation when we arrived. Seems they rejected the booking a month beforehand when it was made as they were full. But the agency didnt act on that.
Anyway, the agency did step up and get us alternative accomodation (3 different hotels for the week, while would have been fine for us adults, the 7 and 3 year old were a bit more work).
Now, the agency has admitted that the fault was on their part and have offered a weeks accomodation as compensation.
My concern is that they seem dodgy and is there any way I can insure against turning up and them not paying the bill? I will confirm this time that we have a reservation, but what if they go bust in the meantime?

    Any way to insure?

    Thanks,
    F

I can't think of any insurance co that would cover this scenario, but it might be worth ringing around a few providers.

    Make sure they're bonded.
