The careers service are just atrocious when it comes to help for internships. This is because I asked them a few years ago to help me, and I was basically told that they were finding it hard enough to find people who actually need to have internships as part of their course jobs, and they were main priority, and that I should be old enough to find myself a job. Which I did in the end... but not exactly with much guidance from the career people
