Mild injury - get back into shape

    Hi guys ,

I run 20k / week (not that much) and was going to increase this gradually.

My right hamstring feels stiff and I can feel I should not push it.

I popped at the physio and she said I should rest it for a while and put some ice on it. ie: don't run.

Now, obviously, this situation is unbearable: I want to get fitter and prepare for upcoming races.

I know I should be sensible and do just that: rest.
Is there any active thing I can do to get back to training asap.
Sportsmen get badly injured and they get back on the pitch in no time.

Is there any really really good physio who can get me back on track quicly enough?

    Thanks,

Seems a bit light advice. I'd get a second opinion.

Sorry, but no-one here can better that specific professional advice. Thread locked <mod>
