A few quick sums using Carzone's new car prices and stats show why larger cars are generally nicer places to sit than smaller ones:

    Ka: €12.06 per kg.
    Fiesta: €15.88 per kg.
    Focus: €15.75 per kg.
    Mondeo: €19.20 per kg.
    S-Max: €24.97 per kg.
    Galaxy: €26.20 per kg.

I think the Focus is out of place because its old, and about to be replaced.

(I got the numbers by averaging the dearest and cheapest model in the range, and dividing by the curb weight.)

The MINI range, well known for being really pricey, comes in at €23.30 per kg, off the scale for a small Ford, but not out of line with a larger one.
