    Hello ,

Washed runners in Zannussi washing machine, it seemed to stop halfway, couldn't get door open so had to drain it - now it will fill but won't spin.

Have had a look in side in case it was something obvious - belt seems in place but drum cannot be turned manually - Have had a look for anything obstructing the drum turning , I can't see anything but haven't taken it apart completely as I'm unfamiliar with them and it doesn't look easy to dismantle/reassemble.

Any ideas what it might be?

    How I might fix it?

    How much repair might cost?

    Cheers

Does the drum not turn at all during a cycle, or just the spin cycle?

If it's just the spin cycle that's acting up, it's usually down to a blockage between drum and pump. Open the filter section see is anything stuck in there, or at the pump rotors.

Nah it doesn't turn at all, and can't be turned manually neither.

When you took the runners out was the laces still in them ?
Inner sole still in runner ? Either of these falling off during wash could stop drum turning

Sounds like your output filter is blocked. If the filter is blocked the drum can't drain and won't do the spin cycle cause of the weight in it...

On most zanusi's the output filter is on the front, very easy to check.

You didn't leave a trainer sock in your runner, did ya? These love getting caught in filters. Pulled one out if a hot point filter a few months back...,
