double jumps

i read in the metro that today at 12:27 you should be able to jump 50% higher because of the moons unusual position to us. either this is going to be great or its a national aprils fool.

'supposedly' means 'didn't' in this case

Surely a "double jump" would be twice as much as the original, ie.100% higher. The link says only 50% higher. This disappoints me...
