Boards Cycling Forum is being shut down!

According to the Boards Announcements Forum there are a number of forums being shut down due to the cost of running them, apparently senior moderators have received a large bonus for the success of such things as the new Adverts website, the General Election Questionnaire and the reduction in the amount of stickies and sub-forums. Due to this unexpected cost the management have decided to withdraw certain Forums and the Cycling forum is due to be closed by the middle of April. Below is a quote from the announcement
The cost of running forums such as After Hours, Religion and the Cycling Forum are becoming unsustainable. We attempted to encourage the Cycling Forum posters to form their own team to compete in national events however their standard was too low so this effort will now transfer to the Cricket Forum which has grown in popularity since the Irish Cricket Team beat England

You think you've got problems. I've arrived into work this morning to find the company has blocked my access to boards. I am only able to get on using the mobile!! Enjoy yourselves today and good luck to the other mods (they may need it). Also England will get their revenge at Clontarf in August. Everyone will be back talking about cycling then. Hopefully see you all when I get home tonight....

It's a dark day all round.

    http://www.ashburtonguardian.co.nz/news/ashburton-news/3802-bike-seat-belts-made-compulsory.html
The installation of seatbelts on push bikes becomes compulsory from today.

The initiative has long been sought by the Cycling Safety Committee of the New Zealand Licensing Board, and spokeman Bruce Bikeman said that today was a watershed one for his organisation.

fell for that one hook, line and sinker:o - I'd been looking forward to a day off after yesterday as well

The company did actually issue a statement a couple of days ago saying they were going to restrict access to certain sites ...

I propose that for the remainder of today Kona should be given sole moderator rights to this forum.

Would it not be more accurate to call yourself Italian Blackshirts or whatever Francos henchmen were called? Considering the popularity of cycling in Spain & Italy.... :D

I got the same thing and only realised it might be a joke after, I remember reading it and it was claiming that the site was blocked due to breach of fair usage and the large amounts of references to drug usage, sexual acts and rock and roll possibly?
