Saimecha tournament

    Somewhat in the vein of the Saimoe tournament (which some of you may know of), a group of bloggers are setting up a Saimecha tournament, to determine the greatest anime mecha.

    You can find more information here, nominations for mecha is open until the 9th of April.

    You can nominate up to 15 mechas for the main tournament, you can find further details here

    I decided to nominate these robots:

    Gunbuster
    Gurren Mark 2 -Code Geass
    MS-06 Zaku 2-Gundam
    Chouginga Gurren Lagann
    MSN-06S Sinanju -Gundam UC
    RGZ-95C ReZel (commander type) -Gundam UC
    Queadluun-Rau Battle Suit -Macross
    4 Yellow mecha Enemies pilot in Break Blade (what's their name???)
    Mass Production Evangelion - End of Evangelion
    Main Red Vajra fighter - Macross Frontier
    Gekka - Code Geass
    Gawain - Code Geass
    Gloucester -Code Geass
    SV-51 - Macross Zero
    RMS-099 Rick Dias - Zeta Gundam

    I think my choices are pretty cool.

    UC designs are pretty awesome, but put them in the hands of a skilled artist...

    Its already the 9th, which means its probably the morning of the 10th over there :(

    They haven't posted the nominees yet, so I'd say you're in with a chance.

    Also I don't think they'll be that stringent with the date.
