    Optimism.

Up until 2008 I worked for one of Irelands leading banks and saw first hand how the country was brought to it's knees. However, Around this same time and leading up to it I had a lot more "pressing" issues going on at home with both of my parents being very sick. Soon after they both passed on and I was crushed. I ended up leaving my job, I left my girlfriend and I left my whole life as I knew it behind me. I was'nt really sure what I was doing but something spurred me on with a belief that I would never regret taking the risks....I now think I was right:cool:

Below is a video I made which has recently made it onto SouthAfrica.com website - it's basically the result of these decisions I made in such "bleak" times for Irish history & for me personally for different reasons. Hopefully people who see this video will in some way be inspired to make changes to their own lives and follow what it is they really want to do.

If someone asked me a few years ago if I thought it were possible for me (an Irish guy) to become a Tour Leader covering 10 Countries in Africa with subsequent oportunites to do the same in the Middle East & South America.....I don't think I would have believed them. But it's happened & For me it's proof that pretty much anything is possible if I try hard enough.

I hope more people can take similar steps instead of being bogged down by sad news in places they don't want to be :)

    Yours sincerely
    An Irish guy in Africa:pac:
