fat free and sugar free are two completely different animals

    No they aren't.
Check the label if you have one in the fridge.

Fat free often means high sugar

Natural yogurts or Greek yougurts are usually good options for low sugar.

+ 1 on the Greek Style yoghurt.
    No sugar.
Tesco own brand and Lidl GS yoghurt are very good and cheap.
Add honey or jam if you want a controlled amount of sugar.

I thought they were sweetened with Aspartame

Greek yogurts, are they branded as this, or some other names, and are they widely available.

Had a quick browse in Lidl today and came home with one of these, 39c.

plain version, per 100g it has

    Energy: 310kj/74kcal
    Protein: 5.2g
    Carbohydrate: 4.9g
    Fat: 3.5g

Those figures seem pretty good to me but are they?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but don't think my query merits a new one.

My 18 month old loves yogurt and will eat away at natural yogurts. Recently, I gave him some Y*plait fruit yogurts and was surprised at how sickeningly sweet they are. When I checked the label, it said 17.4g of carbs, all of which were sugars. Considering that the natural yogurts are around the 6/7g mark, this is a ridiculous jump for a bit of flavour.

Now, obviously I can just add fruit to natural yogurt, but for convenience, can anyone suggest good full fat, low-sugar (and I certainly don't want artificial sweeteners either) fruit yogurts out there at the moment?

I often get these ones for my baby. Still have 10/11g of sugar but better than the Yoplait ones, and there's no added sugar.

Diet Irish Yogurts are sugar free. Available in most supermarkets in various flavours and they're really nice, almost like a dessert rather than a yogurt
