Toyota Corolla 00 - Petrol reserve query

    Just wondering if anyone here has had one and knows how many litres are in the reserve petrol tank once the orange light comes on? I bought one 'second-hand' last week but it didn't come with a manual.

    Also just throwing it out there... it was NCT'd on 2.2.11 and the recorded mileage on the cert was just shy of 150K yet the odometer on the car says 175K approx. That's a hell of a lot of mileage for just over a month! I've heard of turning back the odometer but putting it forward? :confused:

    I've a 99 Corolla 1.3 and the petrol light seems to come on when the tank is down to a 1/4 full, then turns off and doesn't come on again until it's pretty low. I've the manual at home somewhere, will see if it specifies the level the light comes on at.

    That would be a hell of a jump - I'd bet on it being a typo at the NCT center myself, probably should have been 170K......

    Thanks. It's actually me being completely stupid. I knew it came with a year's NCT but it didn't register properly with me. That mileage was done in the last year since the NCT was carried out. :o
