I have my NCT coming up soon.

My rear brake light cluster's lens cover has a 1" hold in it. The lights themselves are operating fine, it's just the lens cover that is broken. Would this pass in the NCT? I can't find any info on the internet regarding this.

I cannot buy the lens cover separately and I really don't want to have to fork out €65-€75 for a replacement light when the original is still working.

Hi as far as I know once the lens is broken it will be a fail. Could you get a bit of plastic the same colour and glue it over the hole?

One of our cars has a ~1 inch hole in a rear light lens that has been obviously filled with silicon sealant and has passed 5 NCTs like that. However the hole is not directly in front of the bulb, it's in the side of the cluster where it wraps around.
