I have a classic army 1911 pistol which uses green gas , but i find the gas unreliable and i was wondering can i get co2 mags for this gun or would i have to buy a new gun all together?

well, firstly, you have to determine can the gun actually take co2 mags.

Usually, if a pistol can take them, they have a red or blue loading nozzle which indicates that it is reinforced. You can pull back the slide and you will see it. If the nozzle isnt either of these colours, then i'd say no, it cant.
if you were to then use a co2 mag (without it being capable of using it), it would break the pistol.

im not familiar with and have never heard of Classic Army pistols to be honest but other people may know more than me on this topic.
