Reminds me of the time I was in primary school and someone found a condom lying in one of the bushes. People used touch it with a stick and chase other kids hitting them with the cum-laden-twig.

No doubt in this case there'll be calls for the kids to be expelled and have their arms cut off so they can't roll joints, and that they shouldn't be allowed into any school ever. Rather than just treating it like children doing childish things. Hopefully the school stays adamant with their "not suspending or expelling" them and actually tries to educate them about what they did wrong.

At 8 years old they shouldnt have a clue what it is or have any reason to be near it or have it. strongest thing i had at 8 was a dip-dab.

When i was about 8/9 I used to nick my dads stash and take to school to show how cool i was, i was of course then under pressure to give it away in school, so i did, without any clue of its worth. Turns out my old feller was a heavy smoker and i gave away most of a 300 stash.

says that in UK now, there will be no custodial sentences for anyone caught with under 50g of either heroin/crack or coke, or 100 pills.
Thats a pisstake in all fairness, 5-8 g fair enough, personal use on a major night out, the police will have no motivation at all to catch dealers, and the whole focusing on the major players is bull****, most coppers would never come into contact with the mid level dealers , let alone the big boys.
And no fear of prison, gives no leverage for the police to get smaller guys to snitch on the bigger guys.

Im not condoning snitching, but it is a big part of the police info gathering, it will hurt them, alot.

In my expert opinion, I would think that one of the boys got the bag of drugs at home, where possibly his father or mother ( because some women take drugs too ) have been dealing the weed.
Their parents probably smoke at home all the time, so to the child seems normal behaviour, and the parents left the stash on the table after having a good stoner session.

why is it that all those incidents where alcohol is brought to school dont get the same attention? every day in ireland and the UK kids that young are caught in school with a MUCH more harmful drug with the potential to cause long term problems.

now i'm not defending these kids parents or condoning the fact that 8 year olds had access to any drug - but this is blatant sensationalism. there is a bigger problem out there concerning a more dangerous drug and it's being ignored because this less harmful drug is illegal and makes for a better story - it's typical of what's really wrong with discussing these issues in society.

They should be executed! They are junkies! They contribute nothing to society! And they are only 8 so kill them! And then charge their parents for the bullet! And then kill them too for having these kids who are a blight on society!

tbf, it was implied neither by the poster or by the article that these kids had bought the drugs from a dealer or were themselves selling it on. it's much more likely they found the bag at home and brought it in to show their classmates.
