    Hi folks,

Quick question. 05 Mazda 6 hatchback 1.8l petrol. How many miles can I expect to get from a tank roughly? Mostly rural/open road driving, little city driving but not a lot.

Was getting about 420miles per tank from my 99 323 which is 1.5l.

Have taken the lead out of the boots so I don't expect to be driving it hard. Anyone got some real world numbers for me?

    ATB,

    John

I'm afraid i can't give you MPG of fthe top of my head or average tank figure, but i'll just give you a wee warning to watch out if you ever get onto the yellow light for low fuel. Either they have big fuel comsumption, very inaccurate fuel gauges or a small reserve, but i borrowed my father's car one night, exact same car mazda 6 1.8 2005 apart from being a saloon, and the fuel light came on just outside croom co. limerick on the cork side, heading for limerick city (10 minute drive on combination of a main road then dual carriageway), the damn thing ran out of petrol before i got to the off ramp for the city!

My father also used to complain of it's economy, he got rid of it after a few months, but in fairness to it, it was always reliable for him and grand to drive and to be a passenger in too
