Hence, E-Prime allows neither conjugations of to be (am, are, is, was, were, be, been, being), nor archaic forms (e.g. art, wast, wert), nor contractions ('s, 'm, 're).

Some scholars advocate using E-Prime as a device to clarify thinking and strengthen writing.[1] For example, the sentence "the movie was good" could translate into E-Prime as "I liked the movie" or as "the movie made me laugh". The E-Prime versions communicate the speaker's experience rather than judgment, making it harder for the writer or reader to confuse opinion with fact.

I agree with the kid on the right. The other one, although he does make some valid points, is just is not as convincing as far as I am concerned.

Would there be time to make you see how our work will give people the good year they want. I think this can even have a new take for us. The original doesn't imply that the object of the poet's affection tastes sweet, and so the second version changes the sentiment of the original, and makes it sound vulgar, when it is surely at the height of innocence.
In conjunction it destroys the play on the word 'sweet', which refers to the taste of the honey, but the nature of the person's character.
