Sealed Hollowcore versus Membrane

    Hi,
Was speaking to my blocklayer and mentioned to him that I was going to put a membrane around hollowcore for insulation etc.. and he told me not to bother, instead to get a sealed hollowcore slab that a certain provider does and that would sort out the heat loss.

Is this a viable solution or would I still need membrane wrapped around edge of hollowcore.?

    Thx/

No it's not. Air can still move between the individual hollowcore slabs.

The wrap is best practise, nothing else comes close.

I went with this hollowcore, there was still some work to do after, around some of the joints and along external walls. Air tightness crew sealed those with foam. Again its not heat loss as such, its the movement of air your trying to stop "draughts".
