ebay rant

    why do ebay make it so hard to complain?
    there is not text box, just options
    people cancel auctions early all the time and there is no way of knowing if the seller does this once a week or never.
    there is no way to mark a seller down because he does not use a reserve price.

    if i'm missing how you do this please tell me!!

    Sadly eBay don't give a damn. Buyers and sellers are treated with contempt by a company that has grown too big and barring divine intervention nothing is going to change.

    You can chat online with ebay staff, though it's a fairly pointless exercise imo. If you have a very specific query, they refer you to general help topics, as they are either unwilling or unable to provide the correct information.

    Though you are clearly chatting with someone in India or the Philippines, they are preposterously named Richard St.John or Rosie Smyth etc and the response is formulaic and scripted.

    There is also an option to call them though I've never used it.

    As for buyers cancelling auctions, there's little you can do except to ignore the item if it is relisted.
