This camera gets great reviews on Argos and Amazon. Looks like a great price, checked Amazon and its roughly the same in Sterling, ie its dearer on Amazon. Always prefer a bricks and mortar deal myself when possible.

Seems to be readily available too, reserved one myself already.

I don't have experience with that camera but I've had a couple of Samsungs over the last few years and they both suffered horrendously from battery problems. To the point where I'd need a few spare sets just going somewhere for a few hours taking a few pictures here and there.

I don't know if that was just bad luck of if they've upped their game since then but I wouldn't even consider going back.

Hopefully its better now, reviews I've read praise the battery life eg was used on a weekend trip abroad and didn't run out of juice.

Had a Samsung YEARS ago and it was brutal for sound at gigs

If that was fixed since then, they're epic cameras

Had it reserved for €137, but never bought it in the end. Read many reviews and its certainty a great camera, especially at that price. There's a slight question mark over night/low light shots, and that's the only thing that made me hesitate, perhaps unnecessarily so!

However, Nikon S8000 is very well reviewed too. Was €287.99, now €159.99. Well worth considering, its certainty on the short list!

Looks good but theres 15x optical zoom on the other one compared to 4x on that
