WII Smash Bros Brawl

Smash bros wont work on my wii, guy in game stop said something to do with certain wii's cant play it but the wii was givin to me so i cant refund it or exchange it. anything i can do to play the game other then buy a new wii ???

Is the disk clean ? Any large dents in it ? Go pick up a new copy and give that go

Can your wii play other games fine? If SSBB is the only game causing problems you will need to send you wii in for repair

It's probably the Wii's laser. When there's lase wear Wii's can sometimes find it hard to read games that are on DVD9's. SSMB is on a DVD9 so if it reads other games but not brawl then it might be a laser. Test Brawl out on another Wii to be sure.
