    Anyone seen the state of the line-up. Can be no grumblings about ours now.

    The event page has some of the greatest collection of comments I've see though.

    Yeah, but seeing as the tickets were supposed to go on sale yesterday, but it was postponed due to a "breach in security", it looks like they may just not have any headliners as of yet...

    They'd want to be amazing to make up for the rest of it, one of those bands played at my country school's debs :D

    I ashamed to call myself a UCD student after this latest stunt by the UCDSU. The UCDSU was an absolute disaster this year in every regard, not just UCD Ents (event organisers).

    Plus they've got this whole FAQ on their page now about how it's not their fault.

    One of the questions is:
    WAS THIS A RESULT OF UNCONFIRMED HEADLINE ACTS?

    No. When the line-up was released on Tuesday 29th March, it was stated explicitly that these were the support acts only. As in previous years the headliners or main support acts were announced initially. (This process is standard throughout the music industry and students will be familiar with this process from Oxegen etc. where acts are announced in stages). Students unfortunately assumed that this was the final line up.

    A specific plan was laid out in terms of promotion and this was being followed. The announcement of headline acts was due to take place the week commencing April 4th.


    BUT if that's the case why haven't they named the headliners? Would that not give them more credibility? Also one seriously good thing about this is that I'm going to be able to gloat about the Trinity Ball being Europe's largest private party again.
